Import from Evernote

ktrn kusova 7 years ago updated 7 years ago 2

I wanted to try out this new app. So far, it looks great. I had several problems with the import from Evernote:

  • tables lost (I guess they are not implemented)
  • some of the colors in the text lost
  • could not find the "creation date" anywhere, which I wouldn't want to lose

(I tried to attach a .pdf illustrating the differences, but I'm not sure if I did it correctly; it's a recipe not in English).

Other than that, the import seems to work nicely, including the tags.

Tables are not yet implemented indeed.

  • some of the colors in the text lost

Were those colors lost from a note created using Evernote's webclipper?

  • could not find the "creation date" anywhere, which I wouldn't want to lose

Well the creation date is actually handled by the importer. The ordering of your notes should exactly match the ordering in EN after the import. If that's not the case its a bug.

  • I don't use the webclipper, so definitely not. It usually happened in the heading.

  • The notes are definitely not sorted in the creation order. What Ciphernote shows on my computer looks like the Evernote's "Updated" date, but I have too many notes to be sure.
